Tia is the founder of Bilinguatherapy, Central Virginia’s first bilingual pediatric therapy practice. A passionate multilingual clinician, this Richmond native speaks four languages—English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese—and navigates three dialects of English, allowing her to connect authentically with a wide range of clients and communities. She is raising bilingual children in a Spanish-speaking household and brings both lived experience and professional expertise to every aspect of her work.

Tia holds dual master’s degrees: one in Communication Sciences and Disorders and another in Spanish Language, Literature, and Culture. She is also a certified Spanish interpreter and translator, with over 18 years of formal Spanish study and years of experience as a university-level Spanish professor. Tia leads Bilinguatherapy’s clinical services and in-house Spanish training program, while continuing to provide therapy, mentor clinicians, and advocate for language equity in healthcare.

Elly is a heritage Spanish speaker and our Lead SLP at Bilinguatherapy. She specializes in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Trisomy 21, fluency disorders, and a wide range of communication needs. Elly provides therapy in both English and Spanish and is highly regarded for her leadership, AAC expertise, and warm, collaborative approach with families.

Sydni is a clinical fellow with a master’s degree from Howard University. She delivers therapy in Spanish and is actively enrolled in our in-house Spanish training program. Sydni brings experience from clinical, school, and telehealth settings and specializes in language, articulation, and cognitive-communication therapy. Her structured yet nurturing style helps children feel supported and successful.

With a background in Spanish, she connects naturally with bilingual families.
